| Nomination deadline for the IU Office for Women’s Affairs’ annual staff award is Feb. 15. An annual cash award honors the contributions of a full-time IUB staff person toward the advancement of women’s concerns on the campus and in the community; nominations are open to men and women from all staff categories: professional, support, technical, service and maintenance. Nominations should demonstrate engagement that goes beyond job descriptions in the promotion of greater opportunities and equity for women and girls.
Classroom gender bias focus of IUPUI event Feb. 10 Gender and gender bias in the classroom will be the focus of a Monday, Feb. 10, event co-sponsored by the Office for Women and the Diversity Inquiry Group on the Indianapolis campus. The one-hour program will begin at noon in University Library, Room 1126. Featured will be HumanRITE (Human Relations Interactive Theatre Group) from Purdue University. The program is designed to promote audience discussion. Those attending are invited to bring a lunch, and dessert will be provided. To register, call 317-278-6229 or E-mail opd@iupui.edu.
