IU Kokomo Gallery to host regional exhibition
Visual artists from Kokomo, Peru, Logansport, Marion and 19 other central Indiana communities will be featured in the IU Kokomo Art Gallery's Biennial Regional Exhibition, opening Sunday, Feb. 27. The 71 featured artists will be honored during a 2-4 p.m. reception at the gallery, located in the Kelley Student Center on the IU Kokomo campus.

Top artists will receive cash prizes totaling $1,000; prize winners will be announced at the reception.

Juror Scott Anderson, assistant professor of art in painting and drawing at Ball State University, selected 90 pieces of art. Media include oils, pottery, metal sculpture, textiles and others. Submissions for the show were accepted from artists living within 70 miles of Kokomo.

Admission is free to the reception and the exhibition, which will be on display through March 27. Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; Wednesday, through 8 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays, noon-4 p.m. For more information, call 765-455-9523 or go to this Web site: http://www.iuk.edu/artgallery
