Georgetown theologian Joseph Murphy will speak on
"An African Goddess in a Cuban Mirror" at 7 p.m. Thursday,
March 7, Swain East, Room 105, IUB. His research has focused on
religions of the African diaspora.
The author of Women of Deh Koh: Lives in an Iranian
Village will talk about traditional Islam and modern Muslim
women at IU South Bend's International Women's Day lecture. Erika
Friedl will speak at 6 p.m. Friday, March 8, at Wiekamp Hall 1001.
The Herron School of Art's annual Janus Ball will
be at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis Saturday, March
16.
Russian poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko will be an Omnibus
Lecturer at IPFW Friday, March 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the ballroom
of the Walb Student Union.
The IU School of Medicine's 11th annual Evening of
the Arts, to raise funds for the homeless, is scheduled at 7:30
p.m., Friday, March 22, at the auditorium of the University Place
