The IU Office of the Vice President for Research and the Poynter Center will be offering a workshop titled "Collaborative Research: Avoiding Pitfalls and Sharing Credit" on Friday, April 22, 10 a.m. to noon in the Dogwood Room of the Indiana Memorial Union on the Bloomington campus.
A panel of experienced researchers will share insights into how hazards can be avoided. Special attention will be paid to assigning authorship credit. Questions and discussion will be encouraged.

* David Clemmer, chairman of the IUB Department of Chemistry
* Frederika Kaestle, assistant professor of anthropology at IUB and a fellow at the Indiana Molecular Biology Institute
* Bernice Pescosolido, Chancellor's Professor of sociology at IUB and director of the Indiana Consortium for Mental Health Services Research
* Kenneth Pimple, director of Teaching Research Ethics Programs at the Poynter Center.
