Reporting for duty

If the political conventions of summer have whet your appetite for staged theatrics, consider spending the evening with Capitol Steps . This satirical comedy troupe thrives on skewering Washington’s goofs of the day. During the past 20 years, Capitol Steps has recorded 23 albums and appeared dozens of times on National Public Radio’s All Things Considered . The group’s Fort Wayne appearance launches IPFW’s Omnibus Lecture Series and marks the series’ 10th year. The comedy presentation is Tuesday (Sept. 14) at 7:30 p.m. in the IPFW Walb Student Union Ballroom. This year’s series includes lectures by James Earl Jones, Deepak Chopra, Nikki Giovanni, David Brooks, Lynn Anderson and Mentor Williams.
