1956: IU Credit Union opened
1959: Surpassed 1,000 members
1961: Surpassed $1,000,000 in assets
1971: 17th Street branch opened
1975: Direct deposit became a new service; First IUCU regional branch opened in Fort Wayne
1976: Share draft accounts (checking) introduced
1978: IMU branch opened
1980: Guaranteed student loans initiated
1983: First ATM installed
1085: Home equity loan program introduced
1986; EXPRESS bank-by-phone introduced
1987: Surpassed $100,000,000 in assets
1990: Approximately 1,500 people celebrated Winslow branch grand opening; Safe-deposit boxes introduced
1994: Indirect lending and AnyHour Loans-by-Phone began
1995: IUCU announced its new scholarship program designed to award $10,000 a year to returning college students
1996: Investment services added; Home Teller computer banking launched
1999: IUCU added the IU Men’s Soccer program to its list of IU sports sponsorships
2000: IUCU began accepting loan applications online.
