Seal Indiana

Seal Indiana is a statewide mobile dental program that provides preventive oral health services for children who do not have adequate access to dental care. The program is supported in part by financial contributions of the Indiana State Department of Health and Delta Dental Foundation. Following an oral examination by a dentist who is an IU School of Dentistry faculty member, fourth-year dental students provide dental sealants, fluoride varnish and individualized oral hygiene instructions to the children. In this video Dr. Armando Soto, associate director of Seal Indiana, discusses the impact of the program on communities and dentistry students.
